Go, Glow, Grow - for very young children - introduces food groups and the idea of choosing foods for health.
Happy Healthy Me - Moving, Munching and Reading Through MyPryamid - for ages 4-6. This selection includes teacher information, nutrition activities, movement, poems, songs, finger plays, recipes and letters to parents. A book set is included for each site. Parent letters and home activities from this selection are available in Spanish.
Kindergarten to Grade 3 
Farm to Fork - Eating for health and promoting school wellness. This selection links Farm, Garden Cafeteria and Nutrition to make the connection between local food systems, garden-based learning, school food service and the establishment of good eating habits. Hot off the presses for K-1; under construction for grades 2-3. VERY popular activities in this. Content standards' links and benchmarks for each grade are clearly defined on the first page of each chapter in this selection.
Reading Across MyPyramid - This popular literature-based selection builds activities in nutrition knowledge, food preparation, physical activity and food safety around a core of delightful books. Your book set includes such selections as I will never, not ever eat a tomato, and Nothing Beats a Pizza. This selection is clearly written, very user friendly, and meticulous in its alignment with state content standards.

Here is a series of ramp food models (pdf) developed to accompany Reading Across My Pyramid. This document created from web based free clip art sites in response to requests from participating teachers in Soledad Unified School District.
Here is a MyPyramid Puzzle Poster (pdf) download. It includes a blank black and white student activity sheet, an activity sheet showing the MyPyramid color slices and a list of food groups.
To use:
- Download the student activity sheet and reproduce it for your students.
- Download and color-print the color slices page (on cardstock, or paste on card stock). Cut slices to separate.
- Follow activity guidelines on Page 4, Chapter 1 of Reading Across MyPyramid (color food pictures also available for download - see web page above).
- Students can color activity sheet and take home to explain it to their families.
Grades 4-5
Nutrition to Grow On - Co-authored by the California Department of Education, the selection presents great garden-based nutrition for the upper elementary grades. It is a well organized collection of garden and food activities and is solidly aligned with state model content standards. A real favorite in school with gardens. TWIGS is also available.
Grades 5 -12
EatFit - is a very popular selection that strongly emphasizes goal setting and personal responsibility in the area of health at just the right time for students who are learning to build those skills. The focus is on making appropriate food choices and developing a personal fitness regime that works for the individual. A student workbook - the EatFit 'zine - is a part of the package, and the website http://www.eatfit.net offers interactive opportunities, challenge tips, success stories, recipes and links.
