Josh Davy, of Fortuna, California, crossed the fence as the new cooperative extension livestock representative for Glenn, Colusa, and Tehama Counties on September 15th. This position has responsibility in livestock, range and natural resource management. In terms of education I have a BS from CSU, Chico in agriculture business, a minor in animal science, and a minor is business administration. In combination with this education I have a broad background of practical ranching experience. In this program I will assist farm advisors in addressing issues in sustainable and efficient production and marketing of livestock, watershed management, environmental quality, and soil and resource conservation. As the new representative, I look forward to becoming acquainted with everyone in the region. Any input on issues of concern that you would like to be addressed are very welcome.
