Preparing for a Pandemic
For the past six months the swine flu (H1N1) has been in the news. This influenza is made up of three types of flu viruses; those typically found in pigs, birds (avian) and human genes. The H1N1 flu virus is currently spreading throughout the United States. Most people who have become ill from this virus recover without medical assistance. The affects of a pandemic can be lessened if preparations are made ahead of time. This newsletter offers guidance in preparing for such an event.
