Plant Description
Several species make excellent year-round foliage plants with dramatic leaflets on short, sturdy stalks that rise directly from the ground. The greatest value in some gardens is the profuse winter and very early spring floral display of dangling, 2-inch, cup- or star-shaped blossoms. Newer hybrids come in a wide spectrum of colors from plum to pinks to sea green. H. foetidus develops large clusters of chartreuse bell-shaped blooms and deeply cut, dark green foliage.
