Plant Description
|
This Australian native is reliably tolerant of drought as well as waterlogged, alkaline, or saline soils and is widely planted for summer color of round, bristly flower clusters resembling bottlebrushes. All have narrow leaves but species and cultivars vary in form. They may have red, pink, or yellow flowers, weeping or rigid branches, sparse or dense structure, and may reach tree height or come as a 3-foot dwarf. Maintenance free except for removing dead wood. Do not prune into bare wood.
