The School Nutrition Education Program provides support and resources to pre-school through twelfth grade teachers in low-income schools to deliver nutrition and physical activity education in their classrooms. We also work with agencies providing after-school services to low-income youth.

| Each lesson provides a wealth of fun, educational activities as well as songs, poems, snack recipes and even a parent newsletter that can be easily photocopied! Use this curriculum to create life-long healthy habits in preschoolers through telling, exploring and understanding. |
| | A curriculum designed so that kindergartners will understand the connections between gardening, farming, nutrition and their cafeteria. 10 easy-to-implement lessons lead children through experiences with food, gardens and what food does for their body. Children also learn about safety in the garden and kitchen. |
| | Happy Healthy Me (4-6 year-olds) A literacy-based nutrition curriculum that teaches preschoolers and kindergartners the concepts of MyPyramid. Each lesson provides the educator with easy-to-implement, hands-on activities that expose children to healthy eating practices in a fun and exciting way. Each lesson includes a corresponding book, objectives, nutrition activities and physical activities. |
| | Reading Across MyPyramid (K-3rd grade) Each lesson of this literacy-based curriculum is accompanied by one or more children's books. We know how busy teachers are, so all curriculum pieces contain concise background information on the topic, easy-to-prepare activities and a snack idea to complement the lesson. |
| | Fruits and Vegetable Power Play! (4th-5th grade) The Five a Day Power Play! was developed to encourage kids to consume 3.5 to 5 cups of fruits and vegetables and be physically active for at least 60 minutes each day. A resource kit is available to teachers, as well as various community organizations, such as after school programs and summer camps. The resource kit includes cookbooks with easy, healthy recipes that kids will truly enjoy. |
![]() | EatFit (7th-8th grade) The EatFit curriculum helps adolescents focus on leading a healthy lifestyle. The lessons include nutrition basics, web-based diet analysis, information about energy and calories, fast food and more. Lessons and activities are correlated to content standards in math, science, and language arts. Teachers are provided a curriculum binder and workbooks for each student. The curriculum is web-enhanced (click here) , allowing students to practice their computer skills. |
