Merced County 4-H Volunteer Orientation Quiz

To become a certified 4-H Adult Volunteer you must:

A)  Complete and submit your Volunteer Leader Application Packet, found at http://ucanr.org/sites/UC4-H/files/4702.pdf and will include the:

                             1)  Application

                             2)  Health history form

                             3)  Waiver, and

                            4)  Volunteer self disclosure form

B) Complete On-line Orientations and quizzes (2)

1a) Watch the orientation video found at http://ucanr.org/sites/UC4-H/Resources/Volunteers/4-H_Volunteer_Orientation

1b) After watching video 1a) above, complete this quiz. There is one best/correct answer for each question.
Must get 80% or better on quiz - may review video and retake quiz if needed.

2) Watch the Creating Safe Spaces Video and complete the quizzes, at http://groups.ucanr.org/Safe_Spaces/

C) Complete a DOJ background check using Livescan services.  Once you have completed steps A and B, the local County 4-H Office will supply you with the Live Scan form to complete and take to the Livescan site.

NOTE: You may not begin working with youth while you are pending verification and appointment as a volunteer 4-H Leader by the County Director

Once your application has been approved at the county level, you will recieve your volunteer leader appointment card via mail and at that time you may begin working with youth.
